Park Rental Rules
Safety & Park Rules
- Smoking and vaping are prohibited within the pavilion.
- All pets must be leashed and waste must be properly cleaned up.
- No vehicles are permitted on the grass.
- Parking is permitted in designated areas only.
- Park hours are dusk to dawn unless otherwise posted.
- Please note: Baseball games may be taking place during your reservation. While fields are fenced, there is a possibility of baseballs leaving the field and entering surrounding areas, including parking areas. Please use caution and park at your own discretion.
Pavilion Use & Facilities
- The pavilion is rented with the designated number of tables; no additional tables will be provided. Renters may bring their own tables and chairs but must remove them at the end of the rental. Picnic tables must not be moved or removed from the pavilion.
- Pavilion rental does not guarantee exclusive use of the park, including green space, parking areas, restrooms, or other amenities.
- Use of pavilion electrical outlets is at the renter’s own risk. Extension cords must be placed safely to avoid trip hazards.
- Use only charcoal in park-provided grill – use of liquid fuel like kerosene and gasoline is strictly prohibited
Permitted & Prohibited Activities
- Propane and charcoal grills are permitted when used in designated areas and attended at all times. Fire pits, bonfires, and other open flames are prohibited.
- Grills are not permitted to be used directly under pavilion or on top of wooden picnic tables
- Bands, DJs, amplified music, and PA systems are permitted only with prior Village approval.
- The following are prohibited:
- Inflatable structures/games
- Rock walls or portable climbing structures
- Fireworks
- Drugs and alcohol
- Gambling, raffles, or games of chance
- Selling, soliciting, or peddling of any items or services
Decorations & Property Care
- The use of tape, nails, screws, or staples is not permitted on pavilion structures. Any decorations or equipment brought in for the event must be removed at the end of the event.
- No signs are to be posted in the parks or at the entrance of the park.
- Clean-up of the shelter is the responsibility of the applicant.
- Any trash that does not fit in the provided receptacles must be removed from the site by the applicant.
Reservations, Scheduling & Enforcement
- If the reserved space is occupied during your scheduled time, first attempt to notify the occupants. If assistance is needed, contact (740) 397-3333 to reach the deputy on duty for the village.
- No refunds will be issued for inclement weather; however, reservations may be rescheduled for another available date.
- Cancellations must be made at least two weeks prior to the reservation date to receive a refund.
- The Village reserves the right to deny or revoke reservations due to rule violations or safety concerns.
- Pavilion rentals during scheduled baseball/softball games are subject to Village review and approval
Law Enforcement
- You may request to hire off-duty law enforcement for your event by contacting the Knox County Sheriff’s Office at (740) 397-3333
