From the Administrator

I am excited about the future of Centerburg and I look forward to seeing us reach our full potential. High-quality-of-life communities don't just happen; they need a lot of planning, community involvement and professional management. The Village of Centerburg is a small town with growing potential and I am working with the Village Council to secure the quality of life that we hope to pass on to the next generation.
I would like to invite everyone to come out and enjoy our many community festivals and events. The Heart of Ohio Festival in June is probably one of the best summer time events you can attend, and the Fireworks show is second to none. The Old Time Farming Festival held the third weekend in September provides a Family Fun environment which strives to preserve the agricultural heritage of Centerburg.  Please check out our events page for the many other activities, such as the annual car show, plant swaps and much more.
Centerburg is a traditional Community. It is exemplary in the way that the residents acknowledge the attractiveness and value of the Village’s original settlement. Similarly, for citizens and visitors alike, there is a powerful sense of connection to ones physical surroundings that somehow take on a social and even spiritual meaning.
While it is difficult to enumerate all of the Village’s attributes, they include the following:

Diversity: The Village contains a wide range of land uses and housing types.

Walk ability: Allows people to fulfill many of their daily needs not only by car but as  pedestrians or bicyclist, granting independence of movement for all age groups. The Heart of Ohio Trail is enjoyed by pedestrians and bicyclist.

Community: People have more time and opportunity to come in social contact with others and contributes to their pride in community.

Worthy Destinations: Whether one walks or drives, it is important to have places worth getting to. The Village consists of Main Streets, Historic Buildings and other memorable places that support community life. Centerburg is just a short drive to Amish country, the Columbus metropolitan area and many other "worthy destinations."

I encourage your comments and suggestions about how to improve our community. Please feel free to contact me if you want to discuss your ideas.

"Everything is GREAT in the Geographic Center of the State."
