Mayor's Office

Mayor's Bio:

I have been a resident of the Centerburg community for over 35 years. I have retired from Verizon after serving for over 30 years where I lastly served as a project manager, having held several other positions within the company.  I enjoy serving the public and have served our community over the years in the following ways:

       - President of the Baseball/Softball Association

       - Trustee of the Centerburg Athletic Booster Club

       - Vice President of the Heart of Ohio Trail Friends

       - Member of the Joint Centerburg Village/Hilliar Township Comprehensive Planning    Committee

       - Chair of the Centerburg Planning Commission/Board of Zoning Affairs

       - Chair of the Central Ohio Joint Fire District Board of Trustees

       - Treasurer of the Centerburg Joint Recreation District Board of Trustees

       - Chair of the Knox County Park District Board of Trustees

I have been a member of the Centerburg village council for 10 years, serving as president for the past two years.  My wife, Diane, has recently retired from the Centerburg school district after having served for over 35 years as an elementary school teacher.  We have raised two children, our daughter, Erin, and son, Jonathan, while residing in Centerburg.

I believe Centerburg is a wonderful community to live as residents are very friendly, the local schools provide a quality education for our youth, and the village has the small town togetherness that makes a community a great place to live.

If you need to discuss any issues, please contact me at the village office at 740 625-7808 ext 1001 or my home phone at 740 625-5123.

Thank you,

Public Notice

Protect your vehicles and valuables:

As a safety reminder to all village residents, please keep your vehicles locked and personal items out of sight.  Leaving a porch light on will also help with protecting your property.  Unfortunately, when the weather warms up, thefts and break-ins also increase.  Please call the sheriff at 397-3333 if you see anything suspicious.  Your information may be more valuable than you know.

Have your house number visible:

When you need police or fire protection, you want to be found quickly.  To help insure that these departments can find your address, make sure your house number is visible with reflective or contrasting colors large enough to be seen from the road.
